Dyschirius chalybeus gibbifrons Apfelbeck, 1899 Material examined. GRNR: 2761 m: 04.III.2015, LT, 1 ex. Distribution. Dyschirius chalybeus gibbifrons has a PAL affinity, known from eastern and southern Europe (AL, AT, AZ, BG, CZ, GR, IT, MD, RO, RS, RU (South European Territory), SK, TR, UA), and this subspecies is also known from southwestern Asia: IL, IR, SA (Balkenohl 1994). Life forms and Remarks. ZGDG (S) species. This is the first record from Asir Province of this subspecies. Previously known from Baha Province (Balkenohl 1994). The species was collected from the African pencil cedar forest.
