Before carrying through an updated catalogue of the pavements of the Roman Colony of Caesaraugusta (even those that are missing, but we have some information about), it is necessary to study the literature closely related to the topic. It includes both the researches and catalogues about mosaics from the 19th century to the present. In addition, we have to analyse the data resulting from archaeological excavations, which have been carried out by both private companies and public institutions like Museo Provincial de Zaragoza and Servicio Municipal de Arqueología.
