La ricerca analizza pratiche, strumenti, stakeholder, iniziative a supporto della scienza aperta e sostenibile nella biblioteca accademica. La prima parte della tesi inquadra pratiche e benefici sociali legati al citizen engagement della biblioteca nell'accesso aperto alla produzione scientifica accademica, contribuendo all'alfabetizzazione informativa nel perseguimento del target 4.10: "assicurarsi che tutti i giovani e una parte sostanziale di adulti, uomini e donne, raggiungano l’alfabetizzazione e l’abilità di calcolo" (SDG 4 Educazione di qualità). Il cuore del lavoro si occupa della data stewardship come supporto alla certificazione etica SA8000. Successivamente nell'elaborato si affronta il tema della data stewardship della ricerca accademica, valutando le pratiche e gli strumenti in biblioteca volti al target 16.10: "garantire l'accesso del pubblico alle informazioni e proteggere le libertà fondamentali, in conformità con la legislazione nazionale e con gli accordi internazionali" (SDG 16 Pace, giustizia e istituzioni solide).

The heart of the work deals with data stewardship as a support for SA8000 ethical certification.Subsequently, the paper deals with the topic of academic research data stewardship, evaluating the practices and tools in the library aimed at the target group 16.10: "ensure public access to information and protect fundamental freedoms, in accordance with national legislation and international agreements"(SDG 16 Peace, justice and strong institutions)
