As stated in the "Manifesto for Reproducible Science," the overarching goal of the research transparency movement is to improve "the reliability and efficiency of scientific research" and "increase the credibility of the published scientific literature and accelerate discovery" (Munafò et al, 2017). Given the critical role that curated and shared data plays in conducting reproducible science, not to mention the training and advocacy that data professionals provide, it is clear that there is significant common ground shared by these two communities. Panelists will discuss research transparency and reproducibility by highlighting timely projects, defining the main terms (e.g., replicability, reproducibility), and sharing tools (e.g., Open Science Framework, Project Tier) that could assist in scholar workflow. Panelists represent a variety of disciplines and experience with reproducibility and will share ideas on how the various communities can best work together. Source: Marcus R. Munafò et al. | selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
