The CESSDA Data Management Policy Framework presented in this report consists of a set of policy components and clauses that provide the foundations and organisational arrangements for designing, implementing, monitoring, reviewing and improving Data Management processes throughout the organisations whose main objective is to preserve and provide access to digital research data. Although the framework is primarily aimed at CESSDA service providers and social science data archives, it is general in scope and design and can be applied by many different organisations whose main objective is to preserve digital objects.
