Abstract

El internet con sus herramientas como las redes sociales y canales de video se ha convertido en un importante apoyo en la educación superior y también en las ciencias médicas. Dentro de este contexto es importante conocer el nivel de satisfacción del estudiante con las propuestas y métodos pedagógicos implementados por los docentes. Objetivo: establecer el nivel de satisfacción de los estudiantes de la carrera de Obstetricia, con el uso de canales de video, mediante redes sociales. Sujetos y método: estudiantes matriculados que asisten regularmente a clases de primero y cuarto semestre de la carrera de Obstetricia – Universidad Central del Ecuador. Se evaluó las respuestas estandarizadas de la encuesta usando el programa estadístico SPSS, mediante al análisis de alfa de Cronbach. Resultado y conclusiones: se establece un grado de satisfacción positivo y conveniente acerca de la utilización de videos a través de las redes sociales como instrumento de apoyo en el aprendizaje, por lo que se debe aprovechar e incentivar su uso. Recomendamos hacer estudios para evaluar el impacto de los videos educativos en el proceso de aprendizaje.
