Abstract

Η αρχιτεκτονική µε τη γη, παλαιότερα είχε ευρύ πεδίο εφαρµογής, µα σήµερα φαίνεται να έχει απαξιωθεί. Στην απαξίωσή της συνέβαλε και το γεγονός ότι δεν υπάρχει η σχετική βιοµηχανία παραγωγής τεχνικών υλικών που να την υποστηρίζει. Γι αυτό και έχει χαρακτηριστεί «αρχιτεκτονική για τους φτωχούς». Αναγνωρίζοντας όµως ότι είναι µια διαδικασία η οποία δηµιουργεί εύκολα-γρήγορα-οικονοµικά και οικολογικά ένα κέλυφος σε κάθε άνθρωπο, το εγχειρίδιο αυτό περιγράφει µε απλά λόγια το πώς η γη, γίνεται υλικό.
