Abstract

Η"low - tech" αρχιτεκτονική ή αρχιτεκτονική χαμηλών τεχνολογικών απαιτήσεων εστιάζει το ενδιαφέρον της στη δημιουργία αρχιτεκτονημάτων που αποφεύγουν να χρησιμοποιούν την "υψηλή τεχνολογία" σε κάθε στάδιο του κύκλου ζωής τους. Σήμερα, στον κόσμο των κατασκευών, με τον όρο"υψηλή τεχνολογία" εννοούμε, πέρα από το εύρος των αναπτυσσόμενων ικανοτήτων,την επιστημονική θεμελίωση και την πρακτικότητα του αποτελέσματος και ένα σύνολο άλλων"ακριβών" συνήθως πραγμάτων(π.χ. ειδικά εργαλεία, κατάλληλες υποδομές κ.ά.)
