Transuterine migration of intrauterinedevice (IUD) is a rare complication. We report here a case of an IUD that has partiallymigratedinto the bladder. It was a 37-year-old patient, in whom the IUD wasinserted more than 7 yearsago and whoinitiallyconsulted for dysuria and urinary irritant syndrome, X-ray of abdomen performed as part of the exploration of bladder stone lead to the Intra-vesical migration of intra-uterinedevice. The partially intra vesical migration wasconfirmed by cystoscopy and CT. The ablation of IUD and bladder stone iscarried out by cystotomy. This rare complication should not castdoubt on the effectiveness of the IUD whenitisinserted in the rules of art.
