Borehole Data Management System: una applicazione web per la gestione di dati di sondaggi geologici

Abstract

Negli ultimi anni l’Ufficio federale di topografia (Swisstopo), ha implementato il modello ufficiale per la rappresentazione dei dati di sondaggi geologici. Per facilitare l’adozione e le procedure di condivisione e scambio dei dati, è stato sviluppato un software standalone che è stato distribuito ai vari uffici cantonali preposti alla raccolta dei dati di sondaggi. A seguito delle sollecitazioni degli utenti, Swisstopo ha deciso di aggiornare il sistema proponendo un’implementazione basata su tecnologie web aperte. Per soddisfare questa esigenza il Servizio geologico nazionale ha dato un mandato alla Scuola Universitaria Professionale della Svizzera Italiana (SUPSI) per la realizzazione di questo applicativo. La risultante piattaforma web Open Source integra alcune tra le più consolidate tecnologie FOSS4G. Il codice è disponibile apertamente su GitHub ed è inoltre facilmente utilizzabile in ambiente Docker. Durante la presentazione verranno illustrate le principali funzionalità, tra cui: la modalità guest per la ricerca dei dati pubblici e l’esportazione in vari formati (PDF, CSV, ShapeFile), la modalità per gli editori con i relativi ruoli funzionali al processo di validazione e pubblicazione del dato dei sondaggi.
