Poppius det.’ [handwritten + printed], ‘ SYNTYPUS / Cardiastethus / pilosus / Poppius, 1909 ’ [printed + handwritten] (MCSN). Distribution in India. Andhra Pradesh: Tirupati (MURALEEDHARAN & ANANTHAKRISHNAN 1978a); West Bengal: Kolkata (DISTANT 1910). General distribution. Outside India it is known from Indonesia (Sulawesi Archipelago) (DISTANT 1910), Sri Lanka (DISTANT 1910), Taiwan (POPPIUS 1915), China (Hainan, Yunnan) (BU & ZHENG 2001), Japan (YAMADA et al. 2016a). Remarks. There is an alary polymorphism in the species (MURALEEDHARAN & ANANTHAKRISHNAN 1978a).
