Sociedad Beneficiadora de Tocopilla: el proyecto tecno-cuprífero de Henry Sloman (1906-1913)

Abstract

El propósito de este artículo es describir la agencia del empresario alemán Henry Sloman en la minería del cobre a través de la formación de la Sociedad Beneficiadora Tocopilla en 1906, un proyecto minero desconocido en la historiografía regional. Se describen los detalles de las inserciones tecnológicas a través de una fundición, un funicular, un centro de generación de energía y varias instalaciones anexas.
