PERENCANAAN MESIN TEPUNG UBI JALAR DENGAN KAPASITAS 3OO KG/JAM

Abstract

Kurang lebih tujuh puluh persen penduduk Indonesia bermata pencaharian pada sektor pertanian. Salah satu produk pertanian Indonesia yang potensial dijadikan altematif pengganti terigu adalah ubi jalar. Saat ini, permintaaan akan tanaman holtikultura khususnya ubi jalar terus meningkat sejalan dengan pertambahan penduduk dan juga kesadaran penduduk akan pemenuhan gizi. Oleh karena itu peneliti merasa perlu untuk merencanakan suatu alat agar proses pembuatan tepung ubi jalar menjadi lebih mudah. Tahapan dalam perencanaan mesin tepung ubi jalar ini terdiri dari analisa kebutuhan, penyusunan bahan teknis produk, dan perencanaan konsep produk. Sumber data yang diperoleh dari perencanaan ini berasal dari data primer yaitu meninjau secara langsung ke tempat pembuatan tepung ubi jalar skala besar maupun kecil, data sekunder diperoleh dari studi pustaka dengan mempelajari elemen mesin apa dapat yang digunakan Dalam merencanakan mesin tersebut. Spesifikasi perencanaan mesin tepung ubi jalar ini menggunakan material stainless steel AISI 304 pada poros, poros screw dan rumah screw dengan kekuatan tarik ð 53 kg/mm2. Menggunakan daya 0,447 kW, putaran poros 1.400 rpm. Panjang rumah screw 450 mm, diameter screw 150 mm, diameter poros screw 25 mm. Perencanaan rumah screw menggunakan pelat stainless steel dengan ketebalan 3 mm. Bantalan yang dipilih untuk poros screw adalah bantalan gelinding, dengan nomor 6205 kapasitas dinamik spesifikasi (C) 1.100 kg dan umur nominal (Lh) 7.924.637,89 jam. Hasil spesifikasi di atas dapat menghasilkan mesin tepung ubi jalar yang baik dan dapat dipakai dalam jangka waktu yang lama. Kata kunci: Screw, Press, Tepung, Ubi Jalar
