Abstract

Novamundoniscus sp. 3 Material examined Bahia: 2♀ ı Carinhanhaı Caverna Bem Bom caveı 6 December 2012ı leg. ME Bichuette and JE Gallão (LES 6440). Goiásı São Domingos: 1♀ ı Lapa do Angélica caveı 18 June 2012ı leg. DM Schimonskyı JE Gallão and LB Simões (LES 6395); Terra Ronca I caveı 30 October 2012ı leg. ME Bichuetteı JE Gallãoı LB Simõesı CS Fernandes and T Zepon (LES: 13ı 1♀ ı 6409; 1♀ ı 6412); 13ı Terra Ronca II caveı 6 October 2011ı leg. ME Bichuette and LB Simões (LES 6386); 1♀ ı near São Domingos River (Epigean)ı 25 April 2012ı leg. DM Schimonskyı JE Gallão and CS Fernandes (LES 6370); 1♀ ı Russão System (Epigean)ı 23 April 2011ı leg. ME Bichuetteı PP Rizzato and JE Gallão (LES 6381). Distribution Novamundoniscus sp. 3 was found in- and outside of the caves listed above. Remarks New record. Non-troglomorphic. The specimens examined show body pigments light brownı eyes constituted of ten ommatidia and elongated antennae and uropod exopod. Considering these characters and its occurrence in- and outside cavesı this species is considered troglophilic.
