Biomonitoramento de ambientes impactados por poluentes

Abstract

A Coleção Estudos Ambientais, organizada pela Editora Colab, reúne obras voltadas para a divulgação de resultados de pesquisas científicas relacionadas à temática ambiental, seguindo a perspectiva da interdisciplinaridade e da atuação multiprofissional. Assim, as contribuições recebidas e reunidas em cada volume da Coleção Estudos Ambientais incluem conteúdos voltados para a Legislação, Monitoramento e Gestão Ambiental, de maneira a oferecer informações a diversos grupos de interesse, como estudantes e professores universitários, engenheiros, administradores, gestores, consultores e agentes públicos. Seguindo esse direcionamento, a Editora Colab, orgulhosamente, apresenta a obra ‘BIOMONITORAMENTO DE AMBIENTES IMPACTADOS POR POLUENTES’, segundo volume da Coleção Estudos Ambientais. Nesse livro, publicado no formato e-book, os sanitaristas Andrei Barbassa Oliveira, Erica Prado Domingues e Lorrany Marins Mota, juntamento com o biólogo Boscolli Barbosa Pereira divulgam os resultados de pesquisas empíricas em que foram avaliados os impactos da poluição atmosférica proveniente do tráfego veicular sobre indicadores biológicos. Os achados sugerem que o emprego de bioindicadores é viável para o (bio) monitoramento dos efeitos da contaminação ambiental em modelos biológicos, incluindo os próprios seres humanos.
