Figure 4 in Metazoan parasite communities of the Pacific jack Caranx caninus (Pisces: Carangidae): exploring the variability of their parasite communities

Abstract

Figure 4. Scatter plot of Principal Component Analysis (PCA) of factors that influence the species richness and diversity of the parasite infracommunities at Caranx caninus, from Mexican Pacific coast. Predictor variables: Location = collection location, Year = sampling year, Season = climatic season (Dry/Rainy), Temp = surface temperature values, Salinity = salinity values, Diet = host diet variety, Size = host body size (total length), REndo = number of endoparasite species, REcto = number of ectoparasite species. Infracommunity parameters: Richness = Number of parasite species per infracommunity, Diversity = Brillouin diversity index values, Load = total number of parasites per infracommunity.
