Thellier and multispecimen paleointensities from Apnia Pliocene volcanic sequence

Authors: Sánchez-Moreno, E. M.;

Thellier and multispecimen paleointensities from Apnia Pliocene volcanic sequence

Abstract

measurements_Th_Apnia is file available to open with Thellier_GUI software (Shaar y Tauxe, 2013), within Pymagpy package (Tauxe et al, 2016). Also you can use ThellierTool (Leonhardt et al.,2004). It contains Thellier-Thellier (Thellier y Thellier 1959) and IZZI (Yu et al. 2004) paleointensity mesurements on the Pliocene volcanic sequence of Apnia (Georgia). The files are in .txt format separated by tabs. The experiments were carried out at paleomagnetics laboratories of Universidad de Burgos (Spain) and Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UCSD (USA). MSP_Apnia zip file contains measurements of original multiespecimen method (MSP-DB) (Biggin and Poidras, 2006; Dekkers and Böhnel, 2006) and multispecimen domain state correction method (MSP-DSC) (Fabian and Leonhardt, 2010) on the Pliocene volcanic sequence of Apnia (Georgia). The files are .csv format and can be open with MultiSpecimen Paleointensity on line software (Geosciences Montpellier, France) (Camps et al., 2016). Also contains Q values and error parameters calculation tables. The experiments were carried out at paleomagnetics laboratories of Geosciences, Universite de Montpellier (France) and Servicio Arqueomagnético Nacional, IGF-IGUM, UNAM, Campus Morelia, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (México).
