Smartblades 2 finite element reference wind turbine blade model

Abstract

The dataset includes a reference finite element model of a wind turbine blade. In the projects SmartBlades and SmartBlades 2 a 20m rotor blade for the NREL CART3 HAWT has been designed, built and tested in full-scale. The dataset provides the validated a wind turbine blade model for this 20m blade. The various sensor plots and a plotting script are provided as well. The experimental data was measured by Fraunhofer IWES in Bremerhaven by Bernd Haller and his team. https://www.iwes.fraunhofer.de/
