Abstract

O presente estudo teve como objetivo realizar um levantamento de áreas prioritárias para a conservação da biodiversidade no município de Capitão Enéas-MG visando à construção de uma proposta dialógica e participativa de criação de um mosaico de Unidades de Conservação (UC), como instrumento de preservação do patrimônio ambiental e cultural e orientação no uso e ocupação do solo. A abordagem metodológica incluiu mapeamento das áreas com relevância biológica e arqueológica, bem como levantamento de dados obtidos por meio de materiais bibliográficos, entrevistas não estruturadas com os moradores do entorno e visitas a campo. Como resultado, foram delineadas oito áreas prioritárias para a conservação da biodiversidade no município, que apresentam características naturais raras e de grande beleza cênica, porém em diferentes estados de conservação, pois há áreas com remanescentes florestais bem conservados se contrapondo a áreas de maior degradação ambiental. A proteção dessas áreas por meio da construção de uma proposta dialógica e participativa para a criação de um mosaico de UC torna-se uma alternativa importante para a manutenção e preservação da biodiversidade, proporcionando ao município de Capitão Enéas, crescer de maneira ordenada e ecologicamente equilibrada. DOI: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.3612305
