Abstract

El Documento de Trabajo 1 editado por el Observatorio sobre Creatividad, Desarrollo y Potencial Humano – “Charles Sanders Peirce”, dependiente del Centro de Estudios Latinoamericanos de Educación Inclusiva, pretende dilucidar acerca de la Pedagogía Hospitalaria como paradigma educativo, el cual convive con el actual sistema de educación formal. Se parte del supuesto de que la Pedagogía Hospitalaria como práctica pedagógica se plantea como un modelo de avanzada, el cual supera los postulados positivistas del siglo XX tanto en el campo de la salud como en el de la educación. Para este análisis se utilizan como preguntas guías, las planteadas por Christian Liutenant en el año 2006, pues aún hoy siguen siendo pertinentes y vigentes, a saber: ¿Cuáles son los objetivos de una escuela hospitalaria? ¿Existen una cultura y una pedagogía comunes a todas las aulas hospitalarias? ¿Cómo debe situarse un colegio en un medio tan particular como el hospital? ¿Cuáles son los puntos en común y las divergencias entre la escuela hospitalaria y la escuela regular? ¿Dónde se sitúa el pedagogo hospitalario dentro del sistema educativo general? ¿Cuáles son las evoluciones que deben preverse? ¿Las aulas hospitalarias “actuales” siguen teniendo sentido, siguen siendo necesarias? ¿Siguen siendo aceptadas? La resolución a las preguntas se realiza a partir de un esbozo histórico de la evolución del concepto ‘pedagogía hospitalaria’, con un enfoque documental alimentado por la experiencia de la autora en este campo, y los aportes teóricos de los autores reconocidos en esta materia, tanto en Europa como en Latinoamérica.
