Letter from Józef Ejsmond (1862–1937) to Janusz Domaniewski (1891–1954) – a unique document of the history and “evacuation” of Warsaw zoological collections in 1915. The article presents an unknown letter by Józef Ejsmond to Janusz Domaniewski. This is a rare and valuable testimony regarding the evacuation of nature collections from Warsaw in 1915. After returning to Warsaw, Ejsmond searched for things that were lost during a hasty evacuation to Rostov-on-Don.
