Abstract

Das Gespräch zwischen Ärztin/Arzt und Patientin/Patient ist das Fundament einer guten medizinischen Versorgung. Patientinnen und Patienten wollen nicht nur informiert, sondern auch gehört werden, wenn es darum geht, ihre Beschwerden diagnostisch einzuordnen und angemessen zu behandeln. Dass eine ungenügende Kommunikation im medizinischen Alltag problematisch sein kann, ist in der wissenschaftlichen Literatur gut belegt. Beispiele negativer Folgen sind die erhöhte Wahrscheinlichkeit einer Fehldiagnose, ein gestörtes Vertrauensverhältnis, das Anfordern unnötiger Tests und eine mangelhafte Compliance. Wie aber sieht das ideale Gespräch im medizinischen Alltag aus? Ärztin/Arzt und Patientin/Patient haben gleichberechtigt die Möglichkeit, Inhalt und Verlauf des Gespräches zu kontrollieren. Die Gesprächsführung wechselt ab. Dieser Leitfaden hilft Ärztinnen und Ärzten, ihre Gespräche im Praxisalltag zu analysieren und zu verbessern. Er orientiert sich an aktuellen Herausforderungen im Schweizer Gesundheitswesen und zeigt anhand konkreter Beispiele auf, wie mögliche Defizite behoben werden können.
