Este trabalho descreve o hardware e o software do PROSAD, um sistema universal de aquisição de dados e controle de processos. A principal característica do seu hardware é a sua interface de vias, permitindo ao mesmo operar com até 256 interfaces de E/S para a aquisição de dados e controle, podendo estas interfaces serem de 8 ou 12 bits. Seu software é constituído de um executivo, um escalonador de tarefas estático e una linguagem auxiliar para programação do sistema.
