mooc.phzh.ch → CORE CORE is an e-learning course presented as a free accessible massive open online course (MOOC). The course works on mobile phones, tablets or computers. It offers a step-by-step program for the development of life skills for displaced people and for all others too. CORE is written and designed by a team of lecturers at the Zurich University of Teacher Education. This life skills course is available in different languages. For many children on the run or in refugee camps, their right to education is not being upheld. The UNHR and many NGOs are therefore trying to teach children and young people despite the difficult circumstances. The project Children of Refugees in Education (CORE) aims to support a number of these organizations with a teaching and learning resources on the themes of life skills and strengthening self-competences. CORE also supports children and young people's development of first language competence and will therefore be translated into many more languages. The precise languages in question will depend on the area the MOOC is being used. In addition, the MOOC contains a training booklet for teachers and social workers. The booklet will help in following up the teaching and learning of the students during the CORE program.
