Rundum gesund und bunt: Ernährung in und aus dem gemeinsamen Garten: Projektbericht

Abstract

Selbsterzeugte Produkte aus dem Garten schmecken besonders gut! In einem Garten erleben die Kinder den ganzen Prozess von Entstehung über Wachstum bis hin zur Ernte eines Nahrungsmittels. Hier kann jedes Kind etwas nach eigenem Geschmack finden sowie an persönlichen Esserfahrungen anknüpfen. Zudem erhalten die Kinder die Gelegenheit, gesunde Nahrungsmittel mit positiven Erfahrungen zu verknüpfen. Denn dies gilt gemäss der Bundesanstalt für Landwirtschaft und Ernährung (2018) als einen Schlüssel für eine erfolgreiche Ernährungsbildung (S. 4 – 9). In dem Projekt „Rundum gesund und bunt“ bekamen 5- bis 12-jährige Kinder die Möglichkeit sich mit gesunder Ernährung im Garten auseinanderzusetzen. Dies geschah mittels einer Ideenkiste, welche unterschiedlichste Methoden und dazugehörige Materialien beinhaltete. Diese zielten auf eine spielerische und experimentelle Vermittlung auf niederschwellige Weise. Die Kinder sollten ihre Ernährungskompetenzen über die verschiedenen Sinne erweitern. Die Ideenkiste konnte im Rahmen des Angebots „Kindertreff im Garten“ mit der soziokulturellen Animatorin von ToKJO in Aarwangen im Sommer 2019 ausprobiert werden.
