The 12th EDM Conference was held in Montreal from July 2 to July 5, and for the fifth time it held a Journal track which this year was edited by Andrew Olney and Luke Eglington. The Journal track allows papers submitted to JEDM to be presented at the conference. A summary is available in the proceedings, and the full text is published in the Journal. The Journal track received 7 submissions, and 2 of them made it to the final stage of the special issue for journal publication. We are pleased to publish these papers in this issue.
