Abstract

Presentación de la actividad "Dime con quién andas y te diré quién eres" en la edición de 2019 de "La Noche Europea de l@s Investigador@s" https://lanochedelosinvestigadores.fundaciondescubre.es/actividades/dime-con-quien-andas-y-te-dire-quien-eres/ Descripción Twitter es un servicio de microblogging que nació en 2006 y en el que los usuarios interactúan a través de pequeños mensajes de texto denominados tuits. Asimismo, las relaciones de seguimiento que sus usuarios establecen son unidireccionales, de manera que puede darse la situación en la que una persona u organización enfoque su atención a un determinado colectivo pero capte la de otro distinto. Durante esta actividad se va a realizar un breve repaso a los medios sociales y el estado de Twitter, mostrando cómo esta red nos permite identificar comunidades de usuarios que están unidos explícita e implícitamente. Para ello se va a representar de manera visual, a través de análisis de redes, las distintas relaciones que los usuarios y sus tuits establecen. Gracias a ello se puede mostrar un retrato de Twitter en torno a un tema concreto y observar cómo los usuarios se agrupan, queriéndolo o no, en distintas comunidades muy fácilmente identificables. Algo que en algunas ocasiones permite poner en relieve vínculos a priori desconocidos. Valor que aporta a la investigación Conocer las diferentes relaciones que nosotros como usuarios de los medios sociales establecemos con otros y que pueden ubicarnos fuera o dentro de nuestro grupo de interés.
