Abstract

Raw data in original Stata (.dta) as well as in SPSS Portable file (.por) and SAS Transport (.xpt) formats, corresponding to the paper entitled "Validation of a Prognostic Staging for Metastatic Uveal Melanoma: A Collaborative Study of the European Ophthalmic Oncology Group". Variables: unique identifier, year of diagnosis of metastases, treatment group: DTIC=1 fotemustine=2 treosulfan-gemcitabine=3 other chemotherapy=4 chemoembolization=5 interferon=6 vaccine=7 only surgery=8 surgery with chemotherapy=9 best supportive care=10 other=11, any treatment: no=0 yes=1, any surgical treatment: no=0 yes=1, ECOG 0=1 1-2=2 3-4=3, serum or plasma alkaline phosphatase level relative to upper normal limit, the largest diameter of the largest metastasis in cm, predicted overall survival in months, Helsinki University Hospital Working Formulation Stage: IVa=1 IVb=2 IVc=3, observed survival in months, Working Formulation Stage equivalent: >12 months=1 12-6 months=2 <6 months=3, TNM M category: M1a=1 M1b=2 M1c=3 .
