Reflexiones en torno a la gestión en las escuelas normales

Abstract

A partir de la incorporación del Programa de Mejoramiento Institucional de las Escuelas Normales Públicas (promin) se ha puesto énfasis en aspectos como la gestión y evaluación ins-titucionales. El propósito general de los programas derivados del promin (pefen, progen y pefen) es elevar la calidad de la educación normal del país; propósito que los diversos ac-tores involucrados en este nivel educativo compartimos. Sin embargo, la ejecución del Programa de Fortalecimiento de la Escuela Normal (profen) en los planteles educativos ha impli-cado poner en juego factores como las políticas nacionales, en contraste con los complejos elementos que conforman la situación particular de cada sistema estatal y escuela normal. Entre dichos elementos pueden mencionarse la cultura e historia escolar, capacidad académica, características de los estudian-tes, tipo de liderazgo, estructura física, nivel socioeconómico, relaciones laborales, influencia sindical,
