Abstract

A prática de atividades físicas traz benefícios à saúde, porém existem riscos inerentes a sua prática como as lesões de impacto. Como atendimento imediato às lesões, sugere-se a crioterapia, ou seja, o resfriamento do local lesionado a fim de reduzir o processo inflamatório; no entanto, muitas vezes, esse processo é dificultado devido a falta do acesso ao gelo, ocasionada pela infraestrutura do ambiente. No Brasil, deficiências estruturais estão presentes nas mais de 181,9 mil escolas, as quais submetem seus alunos à inúmeras atividades físicas em razão da obrigatoriedade da disciplina de educação física. Assim sendo, esse projeto atenderá a essa demanda real, fornecendo um equipamento capaz de refrigerar uma bolsa d’água em substituição ao gelo para realizar o tratamento das lesões. O dispositivo utiliza a célula de Peltier para resfriar a água em um sistema de circulação de água fechado. Além disso, compõe-se de sensores, microcontrolador, bomba d’água e uma bolsa térmica que auxiliam esse processo de resfriamento e, consequentemente, garantem que o protótipo se encontre operacional a ponto de disponibilizar a crioterapia durante as atividades físicas. Logo, conclui-se que a problemática abordada pode ser solucionada com o uso de um componente comercial de fácil aquisição, a Célula de Peltier.
