Core SAFE Sampling locations

Abstract

Description: This zipfile contains a shapefile showing point locations of the core sampling points used across the SAFE landscape. Many other locations have been sampled, but this file contains the points originally identified to provide a fractal sampling design across the landscape degradation gradient. Further details of the dataset and processing can be found at https://www.safeproject.net/dokuwiki/safe_gis/safe_fractal and for details of the project design, see the project description: https://doi.org/10.1098/rstb.2011.0049.Project: This dataset was collected as part of the following SAFE research project: SAFE CORE DATAXML metadata: GEMINI compliant metadata for this dataset is available hereFiles: This dataset consists of 2 files: SAFE_Core_sampling_locations.xlsx, SAFE_core_sampling_stations_UTM50N_WGS84.zipSAFE_Core_sampling_locations.xlsxThis file only contains metadata for the files belowSAFE_core_sampling_stations_UTM50N_WGS84.zipDescription: Contains a point shapefile of core SAFE sampling stationsThis file contains 1 data tables:Feature properties (described in worksheet SAFE_core_sampling_stations)Description: Field descriptions for shapefile propertiesNumber of fields: 12Number of data rows: Unavailable (table metadata description only).Fields: GPS_Ident: GPS handset identity of point (Field type: id)Altitude: GPS estimated altitude (all NA) (Field type: numeric)Date: GPS timestamp (all NA) (Field type: date)Time: GPS timestamp (all NA) (Field type: time)Project: Project name for sample point (Field type: categorical)Site: Site name of sampling point (Field type: categorical)Station: Sampling station ID number (Field type: id)Habitat_11: Habitat type in 2011 (Field type: categorical)Logging_11: Logging impact in 2011 (Field type: categorical)Frag_Area: Forest fragment area (0 = control or oil palm point not in fragment, -1 = urban) (Field type: numeric)Fract_Ord: Fractal order of the sampling point (Field type: numeric)TransctOrd: Position of point on transects (Field type: numeric)Date range: 2010-10-01 to 2019-10-01Latitudinal extent: 4.6350 to 4.7716Longitudinal extent: 116.9474 to 117.7031
