Normalisation of Place Dates in Regesta Imperii Online

Abstract

The presentation showcases how data cleaning, particularly data normalisation, concerning geographical entities took place by means of Wikidata and Geonames in the frame of Regesta Imperii, a research project about medieval and early-modern charters. Slides present the outcome of the traineeship carried out by F.Gelati at the Academy of Sciences and Literature of Mainz - Akademie der Wissenschaften und der Literatur, Mainz.
