Abstract

Festival of Frequency Measurement 1 October 2019 Ed Milcarsky KG4ARN N 29:05:10.72 W 80:59:59.55 Port Orange, Florida WWV Centennial Start Time: UTC 20:41 30SEP2019 Stop Time: UTC 00:08 02OCT2019 5MHz WWV beacon antenna: loaded vertical dipole, tuned for 7MHz, center at +25 feet Receiver ICOM IC-7300 frequency reference: LUCENT RFTG-u GPSDO (equivalent to HP/Symetricon Z3810AS) Measurement technique: antenna signal combined with 4999KHz reference signal in a 6dB hybrid combiner. Receiver set to AM detection mode, 5000KHz. Audio processed by SIGNALINK USB sound card to FLDIGI i5 processor, Windows 10 notes: It appears that signal strength between UTC 1400 and 2230 was too weak and data from FLDIGI is invalid during that time span.
