Nowadays, even with the wide dissemination of information and the easy access to technologies, many pregnant women do not have an efficient prenatal care. This is due to the lack of preparation concerning health professionals, often prioritizing the needs of doctors over women and babies. Also, the appreciation of superfluous themes by apps and the media, such as baby showers, over important issues, such as the birth plan, which many pregnant women are unaware of. The consequences range from postpartum depression and obstetric violence to unnecessary cesarean sections and fetal mortality. Thus, it is clear the need to create an accessible, didactic and resourceful app to help women in their empowerment in this very important phase of life.
