Abstract

Diese Bachelorarbeit gibt einen Überblick über den Selbstwert von Jugendlichen, dessen Wirkung und Beeinflussung. Weiter wird die Nutzung von Sozialen Medien im Lebensraum der Jugendlichen thematisiert. Mit Hilfe von zwei Studien werden Auswirkungen dieser Mediennutzung auf das Wohlbefinden der Jugendlichen herausgearbeitet und so mit dem Selbstwert in Zusammenhang gebracht. Im Zentrum dieser Auseinandersetzung stehen die beiden Sozialen Netzwerke Snapchat und Instagram. In dieser Arbeit wird die Bedeutung der Nutzung Sozialer Medien für den Selbstwert der Jugendlichen analysiert. Die Arbeit liefert stichhaltige Argumente, welche Professionelle der Sozialen Arbeit darin bestärken am Diskurs über die Nutzung Sozialer Medien teilzuhaben. Ausserdem werden konkrete Handlungsmöglichkeiten abgeleitet, welche den Fachpersonen der Sozialen Arbeit in der Arbeit mit Jugendlichen Unterstützung bieten. Diese Bachelorarbeit wurde von Carla Holenstein und Joel Arnet verfasst.
