Com esta comunicação pretendeu-se apresentar os resultados de uma investigação de pós-doutoramento em Sociologia. Pretendemos saber se as características socioculturais dos indivíduos determinam as afinidades que se geram na prática dos desportos de combate dual de preensão, em particular do aikido, judo e lutas amadoras
