The objective of this study is to report the role of MRI in the diagnosis of sporadic Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. Materiels and Methods: Two cases report of Creutzfeldt-Jakob\\\'s disease collected at the neuroradiology department with collaboration at the neurology department between 2004-2009 and explored by an encephalic MRI. Results: The age was 53 years for the first case and 70years for the second. The diagnosis of sporadic CJD was retained based on his clinical status including dementia-related deterioration with myoclonus, on brain MRI data showing hyperintensities at the level of the striatum and the cortex on Flair and diffusion-weighted imaging sequences, the results of the electroencephalogram (EEG) and 14-3-3proteins test. Conclusion:Creutzfeldt Jacob disease is a rare spongiform encephalopathy with fatal outcome. Encephalic MRI can be an essential tool in the diagnosis of this disease.
