This set of spectral descriptors was designed for the purpose of detecting the polymers polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), polyacrylonitrile (PAN) and poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA). The descriptors can be applied to hyperspectral image datasets using the software tool Epina ImageLab.
