Abstract

This dataset contains surface currents on cylindrical Langmuir probes from PIC simulations as described in the paper "Finite-Length Effects on Cylindrical Langmuir Probes" by Marholm and Marchand. Each folder contains the surface currents for one simulation in a standard VTK file, and the folder name encodes the simulation parameters, for instance, 35n_0.08eV_50eta_80mm corresponds to a density of 35e10 m^(-3), a temperature of 0.08 eV, a normalized voltage eta of 50 (which is 4 V), and a probe length of 80 mm. In a addition, the file coefficients.csv contains fitting coefficients to the expression in the above-mentioned paper for all simulations, in a standard comma-separated plain text format.
