Abstract

Korupsi adalah kejahatan yang sangat buruk. Oleh karena itu, penanganan tindak pidana korupsi tidak hanya seraca konvensional, tetapi harus dilakukan dengan cara tertentu, yang memerlukan pendekatan khusus. Di Indonesia, KPK adalah lembaga pendukung dengan kekuatan luar biasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ide pembentukan KPK di provinsi adalah kebutuhan prioritas dan solusi realistis untuk situasi Indonesia saat ini. Keadaan Indonesia selama sepuluh tahun terakhir menunjukkan bahwa tren korupsi di daerah telah meningkat tajam. Pemerintah daerah yang mengendalikan kekuasaan dan pengelolaan pemerintahan sebenarnya telah melakukan banyak praktik korupsi. Keberadaan KPK yang hanya terletak di ibu kota negara tidak dapat menutupi penanganan kasus korupsi di semua daerah. Wilayah Indonesia yang luas, dengan 34 provinsi dan 514 kabupaten / kota, telah mempersulit KPK untuk memberantas korupsi di berbagai daerah. Kondisi ini diperburuk dengan terbatasnya jumlah personil yang dimiliki oleh KPK. Jumlah personel KPK yang kecil tidak sebanding dengan jumlah total wilayah pemerintah daerah di Indonesia. Di sisi lain, kinerja penegakan hukum seperti Kejaksaan dan Polisi juga tidak dimaksimalkan dalam mencegah dan menuntut kasus korupsi. Sejauh ini, lembaga yang diyakini mampu menangani korupsi adalah KPK. Pembentukan KPK daerah bukan untuk mengambil alih tugas dari Kejaksaan dan Kepolisian, tetapi bertujuan untuk mensinergikan kekuatan sumber daya di kedua lembaga, sambil memaksimalkan pemberantasan korupsi di daerah secara efektif.
