Medical images are corrupted by noises during the transmission and reception process. Hence noise reduction has been a conventional issue in medical image processing. The main aim of this work is to denoise the high noise density image efficiently, with minimal computation cost. In this paper, an image denoising technique based on Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Social Spider Optimization (SSO) algorithm is proposed.
