Abstract

Ağrı yenidoğanda travma, hastalık ya da çeşitli tıbbi girişimlere bağlı olarak en sık yaşanan deneyimlerden biridir. Bu dönemde ağrı etkili girişimlerle hafifletilmez ya da yok edilmez ise ilerleyen dönemlerde nörolojik ve davranışsal bozukluklara sebep olabilir. Bu bağlamda bu araştırma İstanbul’un farklı hastaneleri ve Aile Sağlık Merkezlerinde çalışan hekim ve ebelerin yenidoğanda ağrının giderilmesine yönelik yaklaşımlarını saptamak amacıyla yapılmıştır

Tüm yenidoğanlar yaşamın ilk günlerinde ağrılı ve stresli girişimlere maruz kalırlar. Doğumdan sonra daha sağlıklı bir dönem geçirerek yenidoğanın çevreye adaptasyonunu hızlandırmak, hastanede kalış süresini kısaltmak, yenidoğanın beslenmesine ve büyümesine katkı sağlamak için yenidoğana hizmet veren sağlık profesyonellerinin yenidoğanların ağrısını kontrol altına alması önemlidir.
