Abstract

Bocainella, new genus, and the type species B. minima, new species, are described from Brazil. They are illustrated and compared with similar genera Cupeyalia Zayas, 1975, Ipochus LeConte, 1852, Maisi Zayas, 1975, Nanilla Fleutiaux & Sallé, 1889 and Plaumanniella Fisher, 1938. Caudelytra quadrispinosus Franz, 1954 is reinstated and transferred to Mecynome Bates, 1885.
