Abstract

ABSTRAK Kompres hangat rebusan jahe memiliki kandungan enzim siklo-oksigenasi dikombinasikan dengan air hangat akan membuat pelebaran pembuluh darah sehingga meningkatkan aliran darah untuk mendapatkan efek anti nyeri, sebagai alternatif penurunan tingkat nyeri sendi pada penderita asam urat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menurunkan nyeri sendi pada lansia penderita asam urat. Penelitian ini menggunakan Pra Eksperimental dalam satu kelompok (One Group Pre test-Post test Design).Responden pada penelitian ini berjumlah 16 responden dengan teknik purposive sampling.Variabel independen adalah kompres hangat rebusan jahe dan variabel dependen adalah penurunan nyeri sendi pada lansia penderita asam urat. Kompres hangat rebusan jahe dilakukan selama 14 hari dilakukan sehari sekali.Data penelitian ini diambil menggunakan lembar observasi.Analisa data menggunakan uji statistik Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test dengan nilai standar <0.05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkansebelum dilakukan intervensi kompres hangat rebusan jahe nilai rata-rata nyeri sendi 5,19 dan sesudah dilakukan intervensi kompres hangat rebusan jahe nilai rata-rata nyeri sendi 2,44 nilai signifikan (2-tailed) = 0,00 yang berarti bahwa (α hitung) ≤ 0,05 maka H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak artinya ada pengaruh kompres hangat rebusan jahe terhadap penurunan nyeri sendi lansia penderita asam urat. Penurunan nyeri sendi dapat dipengaruhi oleh kompres hangat rebusan jahe yang dilakukan 14 hari. Kompres hangat rebusan jahe dapat dijadikan salah satu upaya alternatif untuk penurunan nyeri sendi pada lansia penderita asam urat. Kata kunci: Kompres hangat rebusan jahe, asam urat, nyeri sendi, lansia.
