Abstract

The Love of Abu Bakr, Omar and Othman in Ahl al-BaytAfter the death of the prophet Mohammad, different approaches toward the attitudes and conducts of the first three caliphs emerged in the Islamic world. Sunnite and Shiite worlds are known to have diverse convictions about these approaches. While the Sunnites have the utmost respect and love for the Rashid caliphs, the Shiites have various criticisms against and negative views on the first three caliphs. However, what the Ahl al-Bayt, whom the Shiites regard as the imam, thinks of the first three caliphs is still a matter of curiosity. This study deals with Ahl al-Bayt and the stories of Ahl al-Bayt generation on attitudes and conducts toward the first three caliphs and these stories will lead to certain assessments. Thus, a comparison of views between today’s Shiites and Ahl al-Bayt on the first three caliphs will be made.

Hz.
