These four files contain data in support of the journal article "Are changes in atmospheric circulation important for black carbon aerosol impacts on clouds, precipitation and radiation?" that has been submitted to the Journal of Geophysical Research - Atmospheres, Feb 2019. Each file corresponds to one of the simulations used in the study. Filenames indicate whether the simulation is from the free-running or nudged experiment and whether it is from the either the control or 10xBC simulation of that experiment. The files need to be unzipped and expanded via "gunzip" and "tar -xvf". This will unpact collections of netcdf files. The name of the file indicates the atmospheric variable, diagnostic or physical quantity. Each file gives the annual-mean values of that variable for the global grid from the HadGEM3-GA7.1 climate simulations presented in the journal article. All analysis presented in the said article can thus be reproduced or re-analysed by future researchers. Potential collaborators are invited to contact the author ben.johnson@metoffice.gov.uk if they wish to use the data or require further assistance in using it.

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
