CXBTools is a small toolbox to deal with (unresolved) point sources from the Cosmic X-ray Background (CXB) in Astrophysical soft X-ray spectra. The tools are written to help to determine the contribution from unresolved X-ray sources to the background spectrum in X-ray spectra. They were especially written for the EPIC instruments aboard XMM-Newton and for the analysis of extended sources. The package contains two tools to estimate the unresolved flux from point sources and one tool to determine the optimal extraction region and flux cut for point sources within a certain extraction annulus. This is the first release version of this toolbox.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 2 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
