Abstract

DERMATOPHYTOSIS: NURSING ACTION IN THE TREATMENT OF TINEA PEDIS FROM PRIMARY CARE ABSTRACT: Dermatophytosis or tinea is an infectious disease caused by fungi, which invade keratinized structures. When it affects the plantar area of foot, it is called tinea pedis. We present the case of a man with this pathology that presents injuries in both feet that present with intense pain, cutaneous desquamation and fetid whitish exudate. We initiate an action plan that includes the cleaning with water and vinegar to 9:1 parts, education for health and correct hygienic habits, use of specialized socks with regenerative technology, sharp debridement and hydration with hyperoxygenated fatty acids; all this in a context of antibiotic and antifungal medical treatment. The results show, through images, the good evolution with this pattern in this type of infrequent lesions in the nursing consultations. In this case, the use of the therapeutic garment with regenerative technology, associated with the rest of treatment and the education for the transversal health imparted, has been key to its resolution.
