In the article the authors examine the economic essence of the concept of "private capital management" and the consequences of the impact of digital innovations on it. The fundamental changes are taking place in the financial services sector and the FinTech segment is feeding these transformations. Volatile markets, growth of assets under management, increasing competition from nonbanking institutions, creation of new business models form the key drivers for transformation of private banking and wealth management industry.
