AbstractThe genus Acerotella of the Nearctic region is studied. Six species are recognized, all new to science: A. acerina ♀ ♂ (Canada, U.S.A.), A. aceris ♀ ♂ (Canada), A. depressa ♀ (U.S.A.), A. gouleti ♀ ♂ (U.S.A.), A. nearctica ♀ ♂ (Canada, U.S.A.), and A. vockerothi ♀ (Canada). The generic diagnosis of Acerotella and key to Nearctic species are given. The higher classification, species-groups, and world distribution of Acerotella species are discussed.
